beekeep in Normandy

Béatrice, Elisabeth and Alain are the « Happyculteurs » (beekeeper). The honey they make is exclusively harvested on the Huet family land, owner of the Gîte du Bois Normand.

The production comprises of Spring honey from all flowers but mainly rape wich gives a white, thick and creamy honey. The beehives are situated on a bio cherry orchard and near a culture of phacelia and buckwheat of which bees are so fond.

A honey shop is open all year until stocks are exhausted. It is open the same days as the goat cheese farm situated just opposite :

Wednesdays, fridays and saturdays from 5 pm to 7 pm. The perfect occasion to make oneself a delicious toast of honey and goat cheese.

Prices : a 500 g jar of pure honey is 7€.
