retour Notre-Dame church

Eure, NormandieThe origin of the Notre-Dame church dates back to the XII century. It has a rectangular shaped plan with a nave built in flint and rubble, with semi-circular and circular arch framed windows all around. The west facade is ornamented with a rosette from the XVI century, preceded by a masonry porch from the XIX century. The building is topped by a square wood framed bell tower.

The vaulted ceiling is made from wood carried by visible beams resting on the ground.

The church is illuminated by a few stained-glass windows from Master glassmaker Lorin (XIX century). You can admire statues from the XV, XVI and XVII centuries including one of Sainte Barbe. The altarpiece of the high altar is worth seeing, it is ornamented with an oil canvas painting representing the Assumption of the blessed Virgin Mary.

Open everyday to the public from march until november
