033The Francheville inhabitants have been ironwork pioneers. From the beginning of the 19th century until 1920, it was the glorious era of ironworkers and blacksmiths. They were essentially specialized in ironwork and harness-making (horses). The region had the essential ingredients to this activity : wood, water and iron-ore. The museum tells the story of the village and shows numerous ironwork pieces.

Guided tour, video and a CD presents the history of the church.
